20th Century Fox wants you to play with Toys

The films of Robin Williams have swayed from comedic farce to complex drama and back again. The journey has produced some uniquely surreal films. One of the earlier films to stray from the everyday was the colorful fantasy Toys. The comedy is coming to DVD from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment this fall.

Robin Williams stars as Leslie Zevo, a fun-loving adult who must save his late father’s toy factory from his evil uncle (Michael Gambon), a war-loving general who builds weapons disguised as toys. Aided by his sister (Joan Cusack) and girlfriend (Robin Wright), Leslie sets out to thwart his uncle and restore joy and innocence to their special world.

“Toys” is coming to DVD with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack. The disc will also come with a making of featurette, a theatrical trailer and several TV spots.

Coming to disc on October 16th, “Toys” will carry a suggested retail price of $19.98.
