Image Entertainment expands its music library

Adding to its many succesful music DVDs, Image Entertainment has two new discs scheduled for release this summer.

Christina Aguilera: My Reflection features music from Christina’s smash RCA debut album, her hit Spanish language release and some sentimental favorites. The concert event showcases the pop superstar’s dynamic abilities as a solo artist and duet partner with special guests Brian McKnight, Dr. John and Lil’ Bow Wow. The program includes behind-the-scenes footage, home movies and interviews. The DVD contains DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtracks and four bonus music videos. “My Reflections” will have a retail price of $19.99 and will be available on June 5th.

Paul McCartney: Live at the Cavern Club presents the former Beatle’s first concert at Liverpool’s Cavern Club for the first time in nearly 40 years. Three hundred people crammed into the historic venue, while 12,000 watched a live simulcast in England’s Chavasse Park and another 3 million viewed the concert via the Internet. The event inspired McCartney to revisit his roots, as the band, comprised of David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) and Nick Green (The Pirates) on guitars, Ian Pace (Deep Purple) on drums, and Pete Wingfield (the Housemartins) on keyboards, rolled through songs from McCartney’s “Run Devil Run” album, as well as timeless tunes by Little Richard, Ricky Nelson and Elvis Presley. The DVD release will include Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound, a video interview with McCartney, music videos, biographies and more. The disc will be available June 19th for $24.99
