Brian De Palma’s Obsession comes to DVD courtesy of Columbia TriStar

Columbia TriStar Home Video has announced plans to release Brian Dl Palma’s 1976 thriller Obsession this June.

New Orleans businessman Michael Courtland’s life is shattered when his wife and daughter are tragically killed in a botched kidnap rescue attempt. Many years later while visiting Italy he meets and falls in love with Sandra Portinari, who bears a striking resemblance to his wife. A series of twists and turns reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Vertigo”, leads Courtland to some amazing discoveries. One of De Palma’s earlier films, “Obsession” teases the audience with clues and secrets that keep them guessing until the very end.

The new DVD from Columbia will contain a new anamorphic widescreen transfer, and audio tracks in Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Surround 2.0, and original Mono soundtracks. The disc will contain an exclusive documentary “Obsession Revisited”, theatrical trailers, and cast and crew biographies.

Coming June 26th, “Obsession” will be priced at $24.95
