On June 5, MGM Home Entertainment will release the second Woody Allen Collection box set on DVD, featuring 5 more films of the acclaimed director.

The 5-disc box set will include September, Woody Allen’s most severe and somber film from 1987, focusing on the failures of establishing self-identity or satisfying personal relationships in a universe described as haphazard, morally neutral, and unimaginatively violent.

The 1990 film, Alice, Another Woman, and Crimes And Misdemeanors. Allen’s black and white dramedy Shadows And Fog will also be included. It traces the events surrounding the case of a mysterious strangler who begins to strike when the circus comes to town.

As Woody Allen is not a fan of many extras, the films will be fairly bare-bones without notable extras when the box set will be released at a suggested retail price of $83.96. And for all die-hard fans of the director, MGM has already made hints that the third Woody Allen Collection will become available this fall!
