Sundance Channel explores the Criterion Collection

Starting June 7th, the Sundance Channel will begin a thirteen week series featuring the films of the Criterion Collection. The series, entitled “Classic World Cinema from the Criterion Collection” kicks off with Michelangelo Antonioni’s 1960 film “L’Avventura” and will include such “The Seventh Seal” “Nights of Cabiria”, “High and Low”, “Knife in the Water”, “Grand Illusion”,“Andrei Rublev”, “Cleo From 5 to 7” and several others.

Since many of these Criterion titles are difficult to find, out of print, or only available on Laserdisc, this series will be a definite bonus for classic film enthusiasts, although of course, the extras are missing…
