Buena Vista Home Entertainment revealed some new information on its “new and improved” Platinum Edition of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Barbra Streisand has completed recording a new version of “Some Day My Prince Will Come”. No word yet on whether this new version will be integrated into the original film or added as some form of supplement.

This isn’t the first change made to the upcoming release. An additional scene is being constructed based upon rough original sketches from 1937. This appears to be the beginning of a trend for Disney. The eventual release of “Beauty and the Beast” will feature a new musical number as well. While interesting additions, this information may be dissapointing to fans of the original films.
