Paramount sends Mel Gibson in the race to find out What Women Want

We have just received information that Paramount Home Video will be releasing the latest Mel Gibson comedy, What Women Want on DVD in May. Scheduled for May 8, the DVD will also contain a few interesting supplements.

A Chicago advertising exec, Nick Marshall (Mel Gibson) gets a whole new outlook on life when a fluke accident gives him the ability to read women’s minds. At first, this gift provides Nick with way too much information, but he begins to realize that he can use it to good effect, especially when it comes to outwitting his new boss, Darcy McGuire (Helen Hunt). In spite of his best efforts to finesse Darcy, he soon finds himself falling in love and ultimately understanding what women want.

The DVD will feature an anamorphic widescreen transfer of the film that is complemented by a 5.1 channel Dolby Digital audio track, as well as a French Dolby Surround track. The disc will also contain a Commentary Track by director Nancy Meyers and production designer John Hutman. A Behind-the-scenes Featurette, as well as a Cast & Crew Biographies and the movie’s Theatrical Trailer are also part of this day & date release.

“What Women Want” will be released on May 8 and carry a suggested retail price of $29.99.
