The Crow Collection takes flight in March!

Buena Vista Home Entertainment has unveiled their plans to release a full box set containing all three The Crow movies. Scheduled for release on March 20, The Crow Collection will carry a suggested retail price of $89.99 and bring you updated versions of these films.

In the 1994 original The Crow, Brandon Lee plays Eric Draven, a young rock guitarist, who, along with his fiancée, is brutally killed by a ruthless gang of criminals. Exactly one year after his death, Eric returns – watched over by a hypnotic crow – to seek revenge, battling the evil crime lord and his band of urban thugs, who must answer for their crimes. The DVD for the film in this Collection will feature a new anamorphic widescreen transfer and come with a 5.1 channel Dolby Digital audio track. A number of behind-the-scenes features and interviews are also part of this disc.

In the 1996 sequel to The Crow, Vincent Perez and sexy Mia Kirshner take the lead! After a brutal attack by an evil drug cartel, the murder victim is brought back to life by a mysterious crow. With the help of a beautiful woman named Sarah, he exacts revenge on his killers one by one… only to realize his enemy, the lethal Judah, has discovered the one weakness that can destroy him forever! Powered by a sizzling, chart-topping soundtrack, The Crow: City of Angels is an intense and exhilarating motion picture experience! This DVD also features a new anamorphic widescreen transfer and contain an audio commentary track, as well as a series of behind-the-scenes features.

In the latest installment, The Crow: Salvation, Alex Corvis is wrongly convicted and executed for the brutal murder of his girlfriend. He returns from the dead under the guidance of the crow and along with his girlfriend’s sister, sets out to find the real killer. Along the way he unmasks a web of corruption and deceit within the police department and the city. This DVD in the Collection is identical to the individually sold version of the film and features an anamorphic widescreen transfer, Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track, as well as a commentary track and numerous behind-the-scenes features.

Since many fans had been extremely disappointed with the bare-bones and defective releases of the first two films in the serious some time ago, it is great to see that Buena Vista Home Entertainment has put some effort into this 3-disc Collection and finally brings us these movies the way people want to see them. Apart from “The Crow: Salvation” none of these Special Edition discs will be sold separately and instead, at the same time, Buena Vista is dropping the price of the bare-bones versions of these films to $14.98.
