New Line to release ‘Lost Souls’

New Line Cinema is getting ready to unleash Lost Souls (2000) on DVD this February.

From Janusz Kaminski, Academy Award-winning cinematographer of ‘Saving Private Ryan’ and ‘Schindler’s List’, ‘Lost Souls’ is a supernatural thriller about the eternal battle between good and evil. Winona Ryder plays a young woman who becomes aware of a satanic conspiracy that will plunge the world into ultimate darkness. To defeat the prophecy, she must convince a respected New York crime writer (Ben Chaplin) that he is the target of this conspiracy.

Directed by Mr. Kaminski, the film stars Winona Ryder, Ben Chaplin, and the never-less-than-wonderful John Hurt.

The disc will come with an anamorphic widescreen transfer, letterboxed at the film’s original aspect ratio of 2.40:1. Audio is a Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround soundtrack. Extras include an audio commentary, deleted scenes, filmographies, and the film’s theatrical trailer.

‘Lost Souls’ is scheduled for release on February 27th. It will carry a suggested retail price of $24.98.
