As they’ve done with past Alfred Hitchcock Special Editions, Universal Home Video is preparing some boxed set collections as well:

Best Of Hitchcock #1:

This collection is 7 Hitchcock films plus Volume 2 of the Alfred Hitchcock Presents Collection in an 8 DVD box set. ‘Shadow of a Doubt’, ‘Rope’, ‘Rear Window’, ‘The Man Who Knew Too Much’, ‘Psycho’, ‘Topaz’, ‘Family Plot’, and Alfred Hitchcock Presents #2 (102 min.), containing 4 of the 17 TV series episodes directed by Hitchcock: ‘Revenge,’ ‘Breakdown,’ ‘Wet Saturday’ and ‘Mr. Blanchard’s Secret.’

Best Of Hitchcock #2:

This one is also a collection of 7 Hitchcock films, plus Volume 3 of the Alfred Hitchcock Presents Collection in an 8 DVD box set. ‘Saboteur’, ‘The Trouble with Harry’, ‘Vertigo’, ‘The Birds,’ ‘Marnie’, ‘Torn Curtain’, ‘Frenzy’, and Alfred Hitchcock Presents #3 (102 min.), containing 4 more Hitchcock-directed episodes: ‘Poison,’ ‘The Perfect Crime,’ ‘A Dip in the Pool’ and ‘One More Mile to Go.’

Details on the movies are the same as posted above. The TV series episodes are presented full frame with Dolby Digital Mono sound.

Both of these ‘Best of…’ sets will be released on March 6th, with the suggested retail price of $174.98.
