Warner pushes back DVD-Audio launch

Originally scheduled for Nov. 7 release, Warner Music Group’s first DVD-Audio titles have been postponed to Nov. 14 due to ‘typical production’ issues, said Jordan Rost, the label’s senior vice president of technology.

In addition, said Rost, a collection of Beethoven selections scheduled to be among the first releases has been moved to a December release, bringing the number of debut titles down to six.

The discs range in genre from classical to classic rock, along with contemporary catalog faves from the Stone Temple Pilots and Natalie Merchant.
