Buena Vista Home Video will make many martial arts fans happy this December by bringing the Hong Kong film, The Legend (Fong Shi Yu) to DVD.

International action star Jet Li stars in this action-packed martial arts story about Fong Sai Yuk, a young martial arts expert (Jet Li) who must fight to protect his father from the evil emperor. The emperor discovers that an underground organization called the Red Flower Society is trying to overthrow his regime, so he goes after the members of this society. When Fong Sai Yuk discovers that his father is part of this underground movement, he must confront the evil regime to save his father’s life.

Directed by Corey Yuen, this film is a favorite of Jet Li’s growing legion of fans. The disc will contain a widescreen transfer, letterboxed in the film’s original aspect ratio of 1.85:1. Sound will be Dolby Digital 5.1. The information we have now indicates only a dubbed English soundtrack…we’re hoping that changes to include the original Chinese language soundtrack with English as an option.
