For those of our readers who may have been one of the few who actually got their hands on the Sony Playstation2, we want to pass along this alert that was just issued:

InterAct Accessories, Inc., a Recoton Company, just learned of a minor compatibility issue with its DVD Remotes designed to work with Sony’s® PlayStation2® and has taken immediate steps to rectify the situation. The products involved are DVD Remote (#I-22121G) and DVD/TV Master Remote (#I-22119G).

The compatible functions in question involve a reversal of the ‘Cancel’ and ‘Enter’ buttons on the remotes. Both functions are fully operational; however the labeling is miss-marked. In essence, the ‘Cancel’ and the ‘Enter’ buttons are reversed. InterAct apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Consumers who own the product can call: 1-877-818-1293 and we will: advise customers of the update and miss-labeling, and provide, for those who wish, a return authorization number and address to return their remote for an updated replacement.
