A tasty soufflé of Truffaut

We’ve been covering a lot of MGM releases lately, but hey, there are SO many that they deserve the space. Additionally, the coming selections fall into many different categories. In recent days we’ve seen everything from classic Academy Award winners to great Blaxploitation classics. Among today’s crop from MGM are some very tasty French films that we know every cinemaphile will be drooling over. Particularly exciting is the announcement of 5(!!!) films of the late, great Francois Truffaut. Here are the titles with some basics about each. Enjoy!

The Bride Wore Black (1968)

Presented widescreen, letterboxed at 1.66:1, with the film’s original French soundtrack, with optional English dubbing. Extras include: English, French, and Spanish subtitles, and the film’s trailer.

Mississippi Mermaid (1969)

Story Of Adele H. (1975)

Presented widescreen, letterboxed at 1.66:1, with the film’s original French soundtrack with optional English dubbing. Extras include: English, French, and Spanish subtitles, and the film’s trailer.

Small Change (1976)

Presented widescreen, letterboxed at 1.66:1, with the film’s original French soundtrack with optional English dubbing. Extras include: English, French, and Spanish subtitles, and the film’s trailer.

The Man Who Loved Women (1977)

Presented widescreen, letterboxed at 1.66:1, with the film’s original French soundtrack. Extras include: English, French, and Spanish subtitles.

All of these films will be released on January 23rd and carry the easy-on-the-pocket suggested retail price of $19.98. Merci, MGM…
