Since it lived up to its title in terms of how long it stayed in theaters, Touchstone Pictures is hoping to see renewed life with Gone In 60 Seconds when it comes to DVD this December.
Randall ”Memphis” Raines (Nicolas Cage) is an infamous car thief who is suddenly forced out of retirement when he finds out his brother, Kip Raines (Giovanni Ribisi) is in danger. In exchange for his brother’s life he must agree to steal 50 cars for the mob in a matter of 24 hours. With the clock ticking, Randall quickly recruits his team by re-visiting his old crew. Adding to the already tense circumstances, they now have to somehow manage to evade the cops who are already on to them.
Director by Dominic Sena, this remake of the 1974 movie stars Nicolas Cage, Giovanni Ribisi, Angelina Jolie, T.J. Cross, William Lee Scott, Scott Caan, James Duval, and Will Patton.
The disc comes with an enhanced anamorphic transfer in the film’s original aspect ratio of 2.35:1, as well as Dolby Digital 5.1 surround audio. Bonus features include: an audio commentary, story boards, music videos, interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and the theatrical trailer.
Gone In 60 Seconds will be released on December 12th. The suggested retail price will be 29.99.
