DVDEmpire.com, one of the Web’s largest e-retailers of DVDs, has built and moved into new space in order to keep up with its growing business. The new offices and distribution center encompass 13,000 square feet and are located in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, a northern suburb of Pittsburgh.
‘We are really excited about our new space,’ said Jeff Rix, CEO of DVDEmpire.com. ‘The rate of our growth has been fantastic and it was inevitable that we would need more space to keep up with the increasing volume of orders we are fulfilling. It took us well over a year and a half to complete this design/build process; now we can move ahead with the planning for our additional 4,000 square foot expansion.’
The online DVD retailer has seen consistent growth since it began operations in 1997. During the first six months of 2000, DVDEmpire.com saw growth at an amazing 18%. Growth for the second half of the year is expected to increase far beyond the first half of the year.
