A Nightmare Before Christmas comes in DTS
To our surprise we just found out that Buena Vista Home Entertainment’s upcoming Special Edition release of Tim Burton’s A Nightmare Before Christmas will actually feature a DTS audio track alongside the previously announced 5.1 channel Dolby Digital and French audio track. The disc also contains an audio commentary by director Henry Selick and director of photography Pete Kozachik.
This Special Edition of Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” celebrates the groundbreaking accomplishments of the first full-length stop-motion animated feature. Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, decides to spread Christmas joy to the world. But his well-meaning mission unwittingly puts Santa Claus in jeopardy and creates a nightmare for all good little boys and girls everywhere! Who will save Christmas?
The disc also contains “The Making Of Nightmare, ” a Behind-the-Scenes look at the making of the film, deleted scenes and test footage, original theatrical trailers and posters, the short film “Vincent,” which was Tim Burton’s directorial debut as well as a never before released, uncute version of “Frankenweenie,” another one of Burton’s early short films. You will also find a storyboard to film comparison and an extensive still frame gallery of concept art, character designs and animation tests, consisting of over 450 images.
Hohoho…. Christmas is coming early this year!
