Tune in when New Line Home Video brings you Frequency in October

New Line Home Video has just unveiled details about an upcoming Platinum Edtion release of Frequency. Scheduled for release on October 31, this movie, starring Dennis Quaid in the lead, will carry a suggested retail price of $24.98.

“Frequency” is the story of a police officer who has been haunted his whole life by one tragic event. When a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon of nature opens a mysterious channel to the past, he is stunned to discover that he is able to communicate with his dad… who has been dead for 30 years. But by changing the past, they set in motion a string of brutal murders with his mother – and his father’s wife – the next victim. Racing against time, the son and father must now find a way to stop the crime that could destroy the future for both of them.

The DVD will contain a 16×9 enhanced widescreen transfer of the movie, as well as a full screen presentation. Complemented with a 5.1 channel Dolby Digital audio track, as well as a Dolby Surround track. Unfortunately the exact contents of the disc have not yet been announced, but bearing in mind that “Frequency” comes as a Platinum Edition, it is save to assume that it will contain at least a commentary track and a wealth of other extras. As soon as detailed information comes in, we will of course keep you updated.
