In keeping with the ever shortening ramp-up times between theatrical release and home ownership, we’ve just received word that Universal Pictures plans a Halloween release date for the DVD of What Lies Beneath.

The hit film, which is still going fairly strong at the box office, stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Harrison Ford in a subtle and atmospheric haunted house thriller.

What we know thus far is that the disc will include an anamorphic widescreen transfer and will include a Dolby 5.1 audio track.

The disc is sheduled for release on October 31st. You can be sure that we’ll bring you the rest of the details as soon as we have them.

In the meantime, don’t do anything foolish like holding a séance in your bathroom…
