Paramount Home Video is releasing the original Nutty Professor (1963) on DVD this October. Jerry Lewis directed, co-wrote, and stars in this wild comedy about a nerdy, college professor who does a Jekyll-and-Hyde transformation into the swaggering singer, Buddy Love (a barely disguised take-off on the persona of Lewis’ ex-partner, Dean Martin).

The DVD will feature a Widescreen transfer, Letterboxed at 1.85:1, and Enhanced for 16×9 TVs, as well as a re-mixed Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack. Also included will be a Featurette, “Paramount in the 50’s”.

“Nutty Professor” will be released on October 17th and carry a suggested retail price of $29.99.
