Relied upon by the motion picture and television industries to generate standards and engineering guidelines, SMPTE is devoted to advancing theory and application in motion imaging, including film, television, video, computer imaging and telecommunications. Leitch is proud to sponsor the award, which will recognize exceptional developments in software, equipment or systems, or the standardization of technology involved in the acquisition, processing or distribution of sound and images.
