Boogie Nights: Special Edition

In the 2-disc Special Edition of New Line Home Video’s “Boogie Nights” there is some some additional footage hidden that you can uncover if you know where to look.

Insert the first disc and bring up the disc’s main menu. Select the “Color Bars” menu entry, which will take you to a screen with static color bars to adjust your TV set. After about 20 seconds however, the bars will fade out and you will be treated to a series of hilarious outtakes, including one that shows Robert Ridgley as the Colonel in an awards scene in which he falls into an entirely unscripted rant. The footage is then followed by a series of screen tests involving Dirk’s “diggler.”
