Columbia TriStar Home Video has just announced pans to release Orson Welles’ Lady From Shanghai on DVD on October 3. This thriller, in which an innocent man is drawn into a web of intrigue by a gorgeous femme fatale, features Orson Welles and Rita Hayworth in unforgettable leading roles.

The DVD will feature an audio commentary track by filmmaker/historian Peter Bogdanovich, a featurette called “A Conversation with Peter Bogdanovich,” as well as a gallery of vintage advertising and cast biographies.

Also scheduled for release on October 3 is Hideaway, a terrifying thriller in which a near-death experience sets off telepathic links to a deranged killer, starring Jeff Goldblum, Christine Lahti, and Alicia Silverstone.

The DVD features a 16×9 enhanced widescreen version and a fullscreen version of the movie, with a 5.1 channel Dolby Digital audio track. It will also contain a commentary track by director Brett Leonard, a “Making Of” Featurette and an alternate ending of the movie, as well as cast and crew biographies.

Both titles will carry a suggested retail price of $24.98 when they become available on October 3.
