Crush Digital expands to meet the demand of the DVD market

In response to the overwhelming requests for digital services and an increasing demand for DVD, Crush Digital has
undergone a significant expansion, making it the largest stand-alone DVD authoring and digital services studio in the country. The expansion includes doubling the studio to a 7,000 square foot environment, significant equipment purchases and upgrades, as well as the addition of key personnel.

To meet the growing demand for services, Crush has added a total of four people to the authoring/programming and encoding departments. To manage production of projects, Crush has also hired three Producers, who work hand-in-hand with clients and the production staff to oversee projects from start through completion. The producing team provides the intimate service of a boutique studio, coupled with Crush’s vast industry experience and arsenal of technology. A cornerstone of Crush’s technological expansion is the addition of the Sony DVAV 1100 encoder. Crush was the first studio in North America to acquire the Sony DVAV 1100, the gold standard of encoders, which was previously only available at Sony Studios.

The studio has also upgraded three of its authoring workstations with Daikin Scenarist NT Professional. Scenarist, the world’s most advanced and compatible DVD authoring system, supports a high-energy, productive and integrated creative authoring process with flexible navigation editing, powerful simulation and a productive workflow. The expansion also includes the addition of a new Dolby Digital Surround Sound Encoding station. During this expansion, the team at Crush has been busy producing such notable DVD projects as “Major League Baseball: The All Century Team,” DVD Music Video titles for Christina Aguilera and Dave Matthews Band, as well as the number one-selling title “Whitney Houston’s Greatest Hits.”
