Daikin U.S. Comtec Laboratories and the Matrox Video Products Group just announced the immediate availability of a new professional-level DVD authoring solution for Matrox DigiSuite DTV non-linear editing (NLE) customers at an affordable price. Since its inception, DVD production has been out of reach for the majority of video professionals and multimedia developers. Daikin’s new entry-level DVD authoring solution, ReelDVD is now available to accommodate this market. ReelDVD is based on the award-winning professional Scenarist technology that set the standard in the DVD authoring market. ReelDVD delivers professional-quality DVD authoring software at an aggressive price, making it attractive to a large number of desktop NLE
customers. This new authoring tool combines a user-friendly interface with simple workflow, allowing anyone to quickly create interactive DVD titles.

Matrox’s DigiSuite DTV is a real-time editing platform offering native DV, DV50 and MPEG-2 multi-format editing under Windows NT. DigiSuite DTV comes bundled with a complete software suite that includes Adobe Premiere RT for nonlinear editing. Combined with ReelDVD, it delivers a complete end-to-end acquisition, editing and DVD authoring solution. Matrox will be showing ReelDVD on DigiSuite DTV at NAB. ReelDVD will be offered through authorized Daikin and Matrox dealers.
