We just received information about two more movies that will be THX EX enhanced when they hit movie theaters shortly. Ridley Scott’s Gladiator and Brian DePalma’s Mission To Mars have both been mixed with the THX EX extension in their Dolby Digital mixes. With these two titles, the total number of THX EX-encoded theatrical movies climbs to 15 now, a number of which are also using the THX EX Extension in their DVD releases. Here is a list of the movies that currently make use of the additional rear channel in the mix that is fully compatible with existing 5.1 channel configurations.
