Brigitte Bardot is coming to DVD courtesy of Anchor Bay

Anchor Bay Entertainment has just unveiled details about an upcoming DVD box set that will be released on April 25. Containing 5 discs, the boxset will feature the movies Les Femmes, Please Not Now!, Naughty Girl and Come Dance With Me.

In “Les Femmes” Brigitte Bardot plays a secretary to a womanizing novelist who hires her for erotic inspiration. Soon he finds himself obsessed with the free-spirited sexuality of his new employee. The movie will be presented in a fullframe transfer in French with English subtitles.

In “Come Dance With Me” Bardot goes undercover when her husband is found standing over the body of a murdered dance instructor. Determined to find the killer she is drawn in the Parisian underworld of blackmail, transvestites and mambo lessons. The film will be presented in a 16×9 enhanced widescreen version in French with English subtitles.

Brigitte Bardot is at her naughtiest as the precocious schoolgirl of a Parisian nightclub in “Naughty Girl”. When the owner is suspected of forgery he flees the city and entrusts Brigitte’s safety to a playboy lounge singer. This disc will feature the movie in a 16×9 enhanced widescreen version in French with English subtitles.

In “Please Not Now!”, a sexy screwball comedy, Brigitte plays a dizzy model that is devastated when her boyfriend runs off to a ski resort with an American heiress. Soon she finds adventure everywhere and love where she least expects it. “Please Not Now!” includes Brigitte’s infamous nude dance sequence that is censored in many countries and is one of her best-loved comedies. The movie will be presented in a 16×9 enhanced widescreen version in French with English subtitles.

All these discs are sold separately, but when bought as a box set, you will also get a fifth disc, Brigitte Bardot… Take One. For the first time Brigitte Bardot tells the camera her story in this feature-length documentary, narrated by Julie Delpy. It presents the highlights of her life: her childhood with her parents, the progression of her film career, clips from her trip to England where she and Marilyn Monroe were greeted by the Queen and other memorable moments of her life unfold before your eyes.

All discs carry a suggested retail price of $29.98 and the 5-disc box set “Bardot In A Box” will be sold for $119.98.
