James Bond to debut the new World on DVD in May

MGM Home Entertainment is currently preparing the latest James Bond movie The World Is Not Enough for release on DVD. On May 16 we will see Pierce Brosnan in this latest action opus day and date with its VHS release. The disc will be presented as a special edition, featuring plenty of supplements, including commentary tracks, featurettes and other extras, very much like last year’s releases did.

But also the second batch of James Bond re-releases are scheduled for that day. Once again, presented as stunning special editions, the next batch of James Bond releases will include The Man With The Golden Gun, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Moonraker, Dr. No and The Spy Who Loved Me. The titles will continue the series of releases from last year, so expect the same level of commitment and quality from those discs.

As reported earlier, the James Bond franchise has been extremely profitable for MGM lately, with the re-releases last year generating over 7 million sold copies of the movies on DVD and VHS. As soon as the full details on these titles come in we will keep you posted, of course.
