Image Entertainment, Inc., a leading DVD licensee and distributor, today announced that a preview version of DVDPlanet, the Company’s newly named e-commerce site, is currently available on-line in a preview-only mode. The new site is set to replace existing direct-to-consumer Internet presence, KenCranes.com, in March of 2000.

Through the use of focus groups, DVDPlanet is currently in the final stages of programming and development. During this preview phase, visitors to the site, while not able to make on-line purchases, will see changes as they are implemented prior to the site’s official “live” launch next month. By the launch date, persons familiar with the Company’s present e-commerce site, KenCranes.com, will find many new and exciting features on DVDPlanet including streaming video, editorial content, product reviews, contests, on and off-line customer service, personalized product recommendations, and one of the most comprehensive DVD databases on-line.
