Columbia TriStar prepares a special edition for Little Women

Columbia TriStar Home Video is revisiting Little Women for release as a special edition on DVD. Already released as a standard release in August 1997, director Gillian Armstrong’s “Little Women” will now be re-released with an addition of exciting features. Scheduled to hit retail on April 18, at a suggested retail price, “Little Women”, starring Susan Sarandon, Winona Ryder and Kirsten Dunst, will contain an anamorphic widescreen transfer, as well as a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack. It will come with a commentary track by director Gillian Armstrong, a “Making Of” featurette and an isolated music score, an excellent feature that seems to be come increasingly popular with the folks at Columbia. The disc will also contain trivia sections, a historical timeline and a photo gallery with costume and set designs, all with commentary by Colleen Atwood, who designed them all. The release will be rounded up with the movie’s original theatrical trailer.
