Columbia TriStar adds two more titles to its May line-up of releases

We have just received more information about Columbia TriStar Home Video’s coming release line-up. On May 2 we will see the release of Virtual Sexuality, a futuristic romantic comedy about the rules of dating in our high-tech cyberspace world.

Super-cute 17-year-old Justine just wants to find Mr. Right, but a busty local sexpot known as “Hoover”keeps getting all the attention. Desperate to find her perfect man, Justine goes to a new technology fair with her nerdy classmate Chas. It’s not really her thing but is eventually persuaded to try a virtual reality makeover machine and discovers that she can create her perfect man even if it is only an electronic facsimile.

When a fluke accident makes virtual reality real, Justine finds herself face-to-face with her creation. Chas befriends the somewhat disoriented newly created man, who calls himself Jake. But is her “perfect man” really perfect for her? With a little help from her friends, Justine takes a magic carpet ride and finds that love is full of surprises.

The DVD will come in a widescreen presentation with 5.1 Dolby Digital audio track and also contain a Cast Video Diary, a “Making of” Featurette and the movie’s trailer at a suggested retail price of $24.95.

Another title coming your way on May 16 is The End Of The Affair, a sweeping romance by director Neil Jordan that has just been nominated for an Academy Award.

On a rainy night in 1946, novelist Maurice Bendrix has a chance meeting with Henry Miles, husband of his ex-mistress Sarah, who abruptly ended their affair two years before. Benedrix’s obsession with Sarah is rekindled as he succumbs to his own jealousy and arranges to have her followed. As the investigation progresses, Bendrix relives his passionate memories of their affair during The Blitz in London. He discovers her diary and reads her account of the affair. It is as different from his as night is from day. He re-enters her life and confronts once more the consuming love they had for each other and the reason for its annihilation.

The DVD will feature a 16×9 enhanced widescreen version of the film as well as a fullframe presentation and an English 5.1 Dolby Digital audio track. At a suggested retail price of $27.95, this release will also contain an audio commentary track by director Neil Jordan and lead actress Julianne Moore, as well as a “Making-of” Featurette, the movie’s isolated music score, Production Notes and Talent Files.
