Sundance Film Festival attendees receive 10,000 free copies from BroadcastDVD

Ushering in the new millennium with today’s hottest technology, BroadcastDVD Inc., a publisher of Web-connected, advertising- and e-commerce- supported DVDs, announced that it will be distributing 10,000 free copies of its Film-Fest DVD at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. The latest issue of “Film-Fest”, a quarterly DVD that takes viewers to the best film festivals in the world, goes behind the scenes of the Toronto International and Santiago, Chile, Short Film Festivals and features film luminaries Jim Jarmusch and Errol Morris. In addition,“Film-Fest” features an hour of the best short films from today’s film- festival circuit.

Among the short films on Issue 3 of FILM-FEST are:

· “When the Day Breaks” — a stunning animation out of Canada that won the Palme d’Or for best short film at the 1999 Cannes Festival and is to be featured in this year’s Sundance festival

· “Dolphins” — a mesmerizing short film that swept the Palm Springs Short Film Festival and is to be featured in this year’s Slamdance festival

· “Desserts” — a favorite from last year’s Sundance, starring Ewan McGregor, which also won the Silver Bear at last year’s Berlin Film Festival.

All of these short films are eligible for Oscar consideration for this year’s Academy Awards.
