We have just received information that Monarch Home Video has scheduled The Florentine for release on DVD. On March 28, this film, starring James Belushi, Tom sizemore, Luke Perry, Mary Stuary-Masterson, Virginia Madsen and many others will pull you into an intriguing story of personal struggles.

“The Florentine” is a neighborhood bar that serves as the touchstone for a circle of friends living in the shadows of a deteriorated mill town. Whitey has inherited the bar from his father and valiantly struggles to keep the neighborhood watering hole afloat. He is also prepared to give his sister, Molly, the finest wedding the she rightly deserves. But Frankie “borrows” the money Whitey has set aside for the occasion to invest in a con man’s fly-by-night scheme and almost ruins the wedding.

“The Florentine” will carry a suggested retail price of $19.98 when it is released on March 28.
