Image Entertainment, Inc. today announced that it has partnered with leading DVD retailer Best Buy Co., Inc. Together, they will offer DVD hardware purchasers a free copy of Eagles: Hell Freezes Over. The Best Buy promotion is scheduled to run from January 2 through March 4, 2000. During this time, consumers purchasing a DVD player from any of Best Buy’s 354 retail stores will receive a mail-in voucher redeemable for a free copy of Eagles: Hell Freezes Over on DVD. The offer also includes a collection of coupons for discounts on name brand home theatre products carried at Best Buy locations.

The Image-exclusive DVD, Eagles: Hell Freezes Over, is the biggest-selling music title in the format’s history according to Soundscan. Containing all of the band’s greatest hits, including “Hotel California,“”
“Tequila Sunrise,“” “Take It Easy“” and “Desperado,“” the disc features a DTS multi-channel soundtrack and a two-channel PCM stereo mix.
