We got some additional information on Columbia TriStar Home Video’s release of The Adventures Of Elmo In Grouchland in. The title is scheduled for release on December 21, day and date with the VHS tape, and will contain a “Making Of” Featurettem a 30 Second Introduction by Elmo and Bug, trailers from “The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland,” “Muppets from Space,” “Fly Away Home,” “Jumanji,” “Madeline” and “Matilda”

This is Elmo’s first-ever theatrical family movie. Elmo is Sesame Street’s most popular character, and he loves his fuzzy, well-worn blue blanket more than anything in the whole world. In fact, they are inseparable. A perfect team. Elmo would never let anything happen to it – until a tug-of-war with his friend Zoe sends his beloved blanket into a faraway land and puts Elmo in hot
pursuit. Facing life without his cherished blanket, Elmo summons all of
his courage and determination and sets off on an action-packed rescue
mission that plunges him into Grouchland – a place full of grouchy
creatures, stinky garbage, the Queen of Trash (Vanessa Williams – Soul
Food, Dance With Me) and the villainous Huxley (Mandy Patinkin –
Chicago Hope). Along the way, Elmo meets an odd assortment of
characters and learns an important lesson about sharing and friendship.

The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland also features appearances from
everyone’s favorite characters including Big Bird, Bert & Ernie, Cookie
Monster, The Count and Oscar the Grouch.

The disc will contian the film’s fullscreen version and a Dolby Digital 5.1 surround soundtrack in English. It carries a suggested retail price of $24.95
