MGM Home Entertainment has a full slate of January titles

We have just received detailed information on a number of DVD releases from MGM Home Entertainment, scheduled for release in January. On January 4 we will see that day & date release of the new The Thomas Crown Affair, starring Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo. At $24.98 the disc will also contain a commentary track by director John McTiernan, and big “Luxury Sweepstakes”.

As reported a little earlier already, January 11 will then see another day & date title, the release of The Extreme Adventures Of Super Dave, a hilarious comedy with Super Dave Osborn.

On January 18 MGM Home Entertainment will then ships its full January line-up. It contains Eye Of The Needle, The McKenzie Break, Diggstown, The Package, Night Of The Hunter and Scorpio. In addition to these titles, to coincide with Black History Month, the studio also releases Cooley High, Jason’s Lyric and Original Gangstas.

All DVDs contain the theatrical trailer, as well as MGM’s customary booklets with production notes and behind-the-scenes facts. All discs will carry a suggested retail price of $24.98 and with the exception of “Cooley High, ”Original Gangstas, The Package“ and ”Night Of The Hunter”, all films will be released in widescreen presentatiotns.

11 titles from MGM in January, that’s quite a boost, don’t you think? It seems the studios has quite some plans for 2000, so let’s keep our fingers crossed.
