Jonathan Demme’s Stop Making Sense is coming to DVD

Some great news from Palm Pictures just came in. On October 26 Palm Pictures will finally release Jonathan Demme’s Talking Heads Concert Film Stop Making Sense.

The film will also be added to this year’s Woodstock line-upand will be featured as part of the first ever Woodstock Film Festival to be held July 22 – 25 at
Griffiss Park in Rome, NY.

Woodstock 99 will help kick off the 15th Anniversary re-release of “Stop
Making Sense” which hits theatres nationwide later this summer. The
Independent Film Channel’s presentation of the 1999 Woodstock Film Festival
will feature an eclectic mix of some of the best American independent films
of the last 30 years. Utilizing cutting-edge technology, Clearview Cinemas
will transform a converted B-52 airplane hangar into a massive
state-of-the-art movie theatre. With a new Dolby Digital re-master and
re-mix, festival audiences will be able enjoy Stop Making Sense in all its
grandeur.

After the theatrical run, “Stop Making Sense” will then come to living rooms nationwide on video and DVD.
