When we unveiled some of Anchor Bay’s upcoming DVD titles a little while ago, many of you asked which version of Deep Red Anchor Bay will release. The English version of the completely uncut Italian version. Now that producer William Lustig is back from Europe, we have been able to obtain some information on this issue. Since there is no full English language track available for the uncut versin of the film, it posed a bit of a problem. Nevertheless, in true Lustig/Roan/Anchor Bay tradition, the release will be the film’s completely uncut version. To solve the language problem, the film will contain mostly English dubs and the newly inserted footage from the Italian version will feature the original Italian language track with English subtitles. We will check for you to see if the disc will also alternatively contain the complete Italian soundtrack.
