“Phenomena” looks phenomenal – take a look for yourself

On March 16 Anchor Bay will release Dario Argento’s Phenomena on DVD as part of their new “Dario Argento Collection”.
For the first time this film will now become available in its original uncut, unrated and uncensored version, much to the pleasure of Argento fans around the world who have been waiting a long time to see this film in its untouched entirety. “Phenomena” is a darkly fanciful, dream-like movie and is Argento’s own favorite among his films.

“Phenomena” is about a girl that is able to communicate telepatically with insects. When students are butchered in her boarding academy by a vicious killer, she must find the killer before he finds her, guided by a wheelchair-bound bug specialist.

The disc will contain a brand new, digitally mastered transfer of the film in its original 1.66:1 aspect ratio and a Dolby Surround soundtrack, featuring music by Bill Wyman, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Simon Boswell, Andy Sex Gang, The Goblin and Claudio Simonetti. Exciting bonus materials round up thisdisc, such as “Behind-The-Scenes” footage, the film’s theatrical trailer, an interview with Dario Argento by Joe Franklin, and two music videos by Rolling Stone Bill Wyman and Claudio Simonetti.
