We have just received a copy of Image Entertainment’s upcoming The Serpent
And The Rainbow DVD – due for release next Tuesday, December 8. Currently
best remembered for his “Scream” movies, this splendid
film from 1987 is one of cult director Wes Craven’s most underrated works, and to
our pleasant surprise, the disc revealed itself to be 16×9 enhanced. A quick look
at the disc presented us with a stunning image with deep blacks and a sharp image with
strong colors. It contains a Dolby Surround soundtrack and the director’s
filmography. Great news!
