DVD Developer Club launched on Yahoo!

Arthur Mrozowski, founder of Media Galleries, Inc., a small electronic media development and publishing company launched a new Community Club on Yahoo today, called the DVD Developers Club. The purpose of the public forum is to foster communication within the software development community to build bridges between technology and the arts.
“While working on CD-ROMs for Sony in the early 90’s,” states Arthur, “I was able to learn my craft from the development community that wanted to partner with us. I jumped on the chance to create an on-line community at Club.Yahoo.com that would help others with the learning curve associated with this new technology. I have already created two DVD titles, ”Bach: His Music. His Life.“ and the ”DVD Discovery Disc“ and learned several tricks of the trade which I am happy to pass on to others at the threshold of their experience. By sharing ideas, insights and hopes within the DVD community, I anticipate that lasting business relationships will be consummated.”
The DVD Developers Club will hold regular chat sessions. Pete Challinger, VP of marketing at Spruce for the last year, will host a chat session on Friday, August 27, from 6pm-7pm (PST), with the help of other Spruce staff members, will answer questions related to the DVD authoring process.
Spruce Technologies is the first company set up solely to produce DVD authoring systems and, since the beginning, has concentrated on making DVD authoring a creative process rather than a technical programming exercise. Innovations like real-time preview, drag and drop operation and multiple levels of undo made it simple for new users to get up to speed quickly and then have the freedom to experiment with creative alternatives in their title.
Members of the DVD Developers Club will be reporting and chatting with attendees directly from the annual DVD Pro Developers Conference on August 31-September 1 held in Santa Barbara, CA.
