Buena Vista have just announced their DVD releases for October. Slated to hit the shelves on October 13, here are the four titles you will see – The Beauty And The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, The Santa Clause, Kundun and Deep Rising. All titles will be released with 5.1 channel Dolby Digital soundtracks. Interestingly, Disney finally takes the step to release animated movies on DVD. Although The Beauty And The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas is not one of their so called animated classics – it is a direct to video sequel of their animated feature film The Beauty And The Beast – this is clearly an indication that Disney are finally decided to evaluate how these movies turn out on DVD and how audiences embrace them on this still fledgling format. So, let’s make sure not to disappoint them.
