Welcome to the Witching Hour – Columbia brings you a Special Edition of The Craft

We just got information that Columbia TriStar Home Video has planned to release a Special Edition of The Craft on September 12. “The Craft” is the story of Sarah (Robin Tunney), who is a new transfer student at a Los Angeles high school. Her special “talents,” such as balancing a pencil on its tip without touching it, attract the notice of a group of novice witches. Bonnie (Neve Campbell), Rochelle (Rachel True) and Nancy (Fairuza Balk) recruit Sarah in order to strengthen their powers. After being dismissed as misfits by their more popular classmates, they create spells which wreak unusual forms of vengeance on their enemies and, eventually, on themselves.

The film will be presented in its original 1.85:1 widescreen aspect ratio in an anamorphic transfer with a 5.1 Dolby Digital audio track. The re-release of this film will feature an audio commentary by the movie’s director Andrew Fleming, as well as a new “Making Of” Featurette, called “Conjuring The Craft.” A series of deleted scenes, also with director’s commentary, is also part of the release, as well as the film’s isolated music score. The release is rounded off with a large number of Trailers, Talent Files and Production Notes.
