On Warner Home Video’s release of “The Polar Express” the studio has also hidden some additional features.

Insert the second disc of the DVD set in your player and highlight the “More” menu entry. Then press the “Left” arrow key on your remote control and you will notice a golden bell appear. Press the “Enter” key and you will see a split screen version of the live actors doing the motion capture and the final animated scene of the Refreshment song and dance number from the movie.

Now, highlight “You Look Familiar” and press the “Up” arrow key of your remote control and you will see the ticket at the top of the screen get highlighted. Now press “Enter” and see another split screen version of Tom Hanks recording the motion of the hero boy and Conductor while below seeing the finished scene from the movie.

Now go to the second page of the menu and highlight the “True Inspirations An Authors Adventure” menu entry. Press the “Left” arrow key now and another golden bell will appear. Press “Enter” to see Tom Hanks play both the train hobo and the young boy on top the train, and watch the split screen version with the finished scene from the movie play out at the same time.

Next, go to “Languages,” and there highlight “Francais.” Now press the “Right” arrow key on your remote control and you will notice another golden bell appear in the right top corner of the screen. Press the “Enter” key for another split screen version of a scene taken from the movie.
