The recently announced upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has beenenhanced with some new information, and it’s quite unexpected. The Paramount film is going to be released as part of The Criterion Collection in a rare case of current film releases from the company.

For those not interested in the Criterion release, a single disc DVD will be available from Paramount Home Entertainment directly and will carry no supplements. A two disc DVD and a Blu-ray will both arrive from Criterion with some supplements including an audio commentary with director David Fincher and a four part documentary on the film.

Prices are yet to be set, but all versions will arrive on May 5th.
