Alexander: Revisited makes it to high definition in September

After a few months in production, Warner Home Video is finally releasing high definition versions of Alexander: Revisited: The Final Cut, bringing the film to both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray Disc.

Torn by the war between his parents (Angelina Jolie and Val Kilmer), Alexander (Colin Farrell) left Greece to face massive armies in Persia, Afghanistan and India — and was never defeated. “Fortune favors the bold” and Alexander was bold enough to command vast armies when he was just 25 years old. In the end, Alexander would face incredible battles that would re-shape the world as known today. A sweeping story of the greatest conqueror in history, this timeless saga comes alive with intense battle scenes, exotic locales and dramatic intrigue.

The releases will be 2-disc versions, offering up the movie split in two parts to best accommodate its significant 213-minute length. The movie will be presented in 1080p transfers, of course, complemented by 5.1 channel Dolby Digital audio. All the extras from the DVD version have been brought over to the high definition versions and features, such as the Introduction by Oliver Stone will be presented in high definition also. A Commentary Track by Oliver Stone is included, as well as a track featuring historian Robin Lane Fox, will be found on the releases, as well as the 85-minute Documentary “Fight Against Time.”, the Vangelis Featurette as well as two Theatrical Trailers.

“Alexander: Revisited” will come to HD-DVD and Blu-Ray on September 19 and can be yours for $28.99 in either format.
