Nacho Libre stands up on HD-DVD in October

Paramount Home Entertainment has just released information that a HD-DVD version of the Jack Black comedy Nacho Libre will be released shortly after the DVD version, in November.

Jack Black is at his comic best as Ignacio, a disrespected cook at a Mexican monastery that can barely afford to feed the orphans who live there. Inspired by a local wrestling hero, he decides to moonlight as the not-so-famous Luchador “Nacho Libre” to earn money for the monastery — not to mention the admiration of beautiful nun Sister Encarnacion.

Like the DVD version, the HD-DVD release will contain an Audio Commentary with Jack Black, director Jared Hess and writer Mike White. A number of Featurettes and a selection of Deleted Scenes will also be included, as well as a Comic Book.

The HD-DVD version of “Nacho Libre” will be in stores on November 7 with a $39.99 sticker price.
