Sony! Rescue Me

The second season of the firefighting drama Rescue Me is on the way. Dennis Leary heads the ensemble cast about teh dangers of firefighting that go beyond the fires.

Rescue Me is an edgy comedy drama that centers on the inner workings of a New York City firehouse and the personal and emotional battles of its members in a post-9/11 world. The intense show focuses on Tommy Gavin (Leary), a senior firefighter who takes great pride in leading the heroic but often overwhelmed firefighters of Engine 62. Gavin manifests the rigors of his job through conversations with his dead cousin Jimmy Keefe, a former firefighter, and the haunting memories of people he has watched perish on the job.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment treated the season well with an anamorphic widescreen transfer for all the episodes as well as Dolby Digital 5.1 surround tracks. Extras on the set include bloopers and the featurettes The Second Season, Filming in New York City, The Kitchen, Working with the Cast and Diane Farr Talkes to the Real NYFD.

The suggested retail price is $49.95 for the sete which arrives on May 9th.
