The catalog of Disney titles has undergone the most eclectic series of releases of any collection out there. Going back to the early days of VHS, the Disney corporation has never figured out exactly how to release the set and has abandoned idea after idea, never quite releasing the entire collection. After the limited edition series on DVD and the short lived Gold Collection, Disney has seemed to fall back on releasing the films on a title by title basis. Four new two disc special editions are on the way from the company that will hopefully add a great deal of new material without removing any of the content from the existing discs.

Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, Pocahontas and Lilo & Stitch will all be released over the next year as 2-disc special editions. No word yet on special features.
