In other news of classic comedies centering around the romances of hairdressers, the 1983 bitersweet comedy Educating Rita will make its debut on January 7th.

A genre setting film, Julie Walters stars as a Cockney hairdresser who revitalizes the life of a jaded college professor played by Michael Caine. The relationship blossoms as he teaches her the finer points of life while she teaches him why its worth living.

A featureless disc, the DVD will feature only the film in anamorphic widescreen with audio in English and French.

The film will be released, January 7th.
